Unassuming Beginning with a Noble Mission

Dr. Ben Koh's pioneering spirit and strong belief in transformational coaching established our foundation in 2010 within the education sector of Kazakhstan. Today, we are a leading global coaching academy. We take pride in our rich legacy, which spans a decade of milestones, including our notable rebranding to align with our international goals. We want our story to inform and inspire you to embark on this coaching educational journey with us.

The Visionary Inception

It all started in Kazakhstan in 2009 when Dr Ben had the opportunity to introduce coaching into the education sector. This initiative aimed to equip teachers with the necessary coaching skills to facilitate students’ personal growth and leadership. This ambitious and inspiring vision truly made a difference, leading to the establishment of the "I Am Life Coach" Academy to achieve this goal.

2009 - 2011
Rebranding

The pivotal moment came when the program was introduced to surrounding countries and received overwhelming success. With growing pride and humble hearts, we rebranded to Coach Masters Academy in 2012, reflecting our commitment to global reach. This was not just a simple name change. It is a bold statement of our commitment to pioneering a science-based approach. We embraced this new epoch with open arms.

2012
Global Office established in Singapore, and Southeast Asian expansion.

When Dr. Ben was relocated to Singapore, he established the Global Office there and began expanding into neighbouring countries. In a short time, he set up local offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines to support our growth in Southeast Asia. This initiative marked a significant milestone for CMA as we confidently established our presence in the region.

2013 - 2014
Expansion to the South Asia and Oceania Pacific Region

CMA has rapidly risen to become one of the foremost academies in Southeast Asia. With this strong momentum, we are confidently expanding into South Asia and the Oceania Pacific region and establishing local offices in India, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.

2015 - 2017
Marked our Expansion to the Middle East & Gulf

Building on our success in Asia, Dr Ben initiated global expansion, starting with the UAE in 2017. In 2018, CMA became the first academy to enter Lebanon, establishing a local office there. In the later year, CMA played a crucial role in creating the ICF Beirut Chapter. In 2019, we introduced the first Arabic version of our program and expanded into Saudi Arabia. We established local offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon to support our regional growth.

2017
Marked our Expansion to the African Continent

Dr Ben took a bold step to introduce the program in Uganda, which was a massive success. Over 100 graduates completed the program within two years, leading to the establishment of the ICF Kampala Chapter. Subsequently, the program was introduced in Nigeria, and CMA is now active across East and West Africa.

2018
Marked our Expansion to the European Continent

The program was first launched in the UK and Germany and then expanded towards Eastern Europe, starting in Romania, where it gained positive reception and established a local office. CMA became the first coaching academy started in Asia to successfully introduce a coaching program in the European continent.
