Program Description

By focusing your attention inward, you can concentrate on the present moment. This practice helps you set aside your thoughts and opinions, enabling you to genuinely observe what your client is experiencing. Being fully present is crucial for developing intuition and fostering a coaching environment that promotes real change and growth.

You improve your skills in noticing and responding to different ways people communicate. This ability to listen actively helps you pick up on subtle signals in clients' words. Careful attention strengthens your empathy and intuition, helping you better connect with your client's needs and wants.

At the heart of this module is the essential practice of nurturing thought processes and making them visible. It delves deeply into how meaning is constructed, emphasising the relationship between individual narrative constructs and the larger whole they create. You cultivate the competency of remaining present and attentive to emerging thoughts.

  • This learning will empower you to respond in ways that foster deeper awareness, enhance clarity, and promote a richer understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, you will work on expanding your listening skills, allowing you to engage more effectively and empathetically with others.
  • The learning concepts will explore integrating the following principles into the coaching process.
    • Applying Gestalt Theory to Listen to the Whole of the Narrative
    • Applying Narrative Analysis to create a meaningful frame of reference to increase the clarity of mind
    • Expanding the Mind Using Clean & Metaphorical Language

By employing a systematic and structured framework, you will understand the ICF Core competencies required for coaching at a higher skillset and how to demonstrate the behaviour markers effectively

  • This learning journey will explore the intricacies of each marker, highlighting their importance and the practical methods to apply them. By engaging with real-life coaching conversations as case studies and demonstrations, you will gain valuable insights and enhance your skills, ensuring you are well-prepared to meet the expectations set by the ICF.

  • Enhances self-awareness and reflective practice: Supervision provides a structured space to reflect on their work, gain new insights, and develop greater self-awareness about their coaching approach and blind spots.
  • Supports continuous skill development: The exploration during the debriefing allows you to connect knowledge from training to real client experiences, learn new techniques, and refine your competencies.
  • Boost Your Confidence: You'll be able to observe firsthand how seasoned coaches navigate challenges, motivate their clients, and foster growth. The insights you glean from these engaging sessions will be precious, equipping you with a wealth of practical knowledge and innovative strategies.

Requirement for Completion

  • Maintain 70% Live Attendance.
  • Complete 4 Reflection Papers [ not more than 400 words ]
  • 1 Research Paper [ not more than 800 words ]
  • Submit 2 coaching conversations, each not exceeding 60 minutes, that adequately demonstrate coaching at the PCC level of coaching.
